A NEW LOOK AT OUR SKIN

As a healthcare expert, I'm often asked why I chose the topic of skin. When it comes to prevention and self-care, there are so many other important topics – nutrition, sleep, relaxation, mental balance, exercise. That's absolutely right!

Nevertheless, I believe that the function of the skin is still often underestimated and neglected, especially when it comes to true 360° prevention and self-care. Skin health is often reduced to superficial cosmetics and symptomatic cosmetic correction.

I want to change that! That's why I invite you to join me in taking a closer look at our skin and discover what this multi-talented creature actually does and can do.

In fact, our skin is the largest and heaviest organ in our body. Its surface area alone is impressive: In an adult, it's about 1.8 square meters! This living structure protects you every day from harmful environmental influences and hazardous substances.

Huong's Fact of the Day

Our skin “talks” to our gut and our brain every second of the day!

THE SKIN, A MULTI-TALENT

But the skin can do much more than that. We're not even aware of most of it. For example, our skin constantly communicates with the inside of our body. It functions as an important signal transmitter and interacts with other central hubs in our body, such as the gut and brain. Your skin "talks" to your gut and brain every second of every day! For this reason, the so-called skin-gut-brain axis has increasingly become the focus of research in recent years.

The findings from this field offer a wide range of possibilities for sustainable health maintenance and effective prevention. When we practice skincare in the way that's right for us, we're doing something good not only for our skin, but for our entire body. We're rewarded with clear beauty and lasting health. In my opinion, this is the best win-win situation there is! That's why it's especially important to me to incorporate current research findings into the development of my products. This turns skincare into true health care!
