Can my skin tolerate oils?

Yes! Oils are suitable for all skin types. It all depends on the composition of the oil and the amount applied. TEN TWELVE's oils consist of anti-inflammatory, vitamin-rich omega-3 & 6 oils that are quickly absorbed into the skin. Cupuaçu butter and shea butter esters provide an additional enveloping effect. For this reason, Liquid Barrier is also suitable for oily and blemished skin. But here, too, less is more, and 1-4 drops are sufficient, depending on your individual needs. If in doubt, start with less!

Do I also need a cream when using the oil?

No, all valuable lipid building blocks such as ceramides, phytosterols, and omega-3 and 6 fatty acids (linoleic acid) are contained in Liquid Barrier. They effectively seal the skin barrier and reduce transepidermal moisture loss. The skin is thus optimally protected and moisturized.

Does the oil change consistency when cold?

Yes, Liquid Barrier is made from 50% cupuaçu butter and shea butter esters. This butter content allows the oil to solidify in cold temperatures. The oil liquefies again once it reaches room temperature.
