Unlocking Balm loosens the compact structure of the skin barrier, and opens it to make it more receptive for the following active ingredients. Morning and evening: Massage a small amount of balm directly onto damp face and neck. Then simply wash off with warm water.

What is the Smart Barrier System?
Our SMART BARRIER SYSTEM was born from cell biology research. It first opens the skin barrier, to then deposit active ingredients even deeper into the skin and finishes by sealing the skin barrier again. It is more effective with less effort!
How does Unlocking Balm open the skin barrier?
It's our special combination of glyco- and phospholipids that opens the skin barrier. The lipid chains of both components deposit in between the lipid-containing cellular spaces and loosen them. This makes the skin barrier more porous and enables even deeper depositing of our patented Dermavector®-Technology into the skin.
What is a micellar balm?
Our balm contains glyco- and phospholipids as well as amino acid-based glutamates, which can assemble into micelles and thus effectively trap dirt and make-up particles. Because of this, our micellar balm has an excellent cleansing effect.
Can Unlocking Balm remove make-up?
Yes! Our micellar balm is highly effective for removing make-up. There is no need to use any additional make-up remover prior to PART I. Simply use a generous amount of balm and massage it into, face and neck, then remove with warm water for soft and subtle skin.
What are the glyco- and phospholipids contained in Unlocking Balm?
Glycolipids and phospholipids are natural lipids produced by the skin. The 'nomen est omen' applies here: glycolipids contain a sugar residue (glucose), while phospholipids have a phosphate residue in their structure. Due to their similarity to the skin's own lipids, they are very mild with high cleansing activity.
