What does it do?
The critical first step of the SMART BARRIER SYSTEM effortlessly dissolves makeup and dirt particles by connecting with the skin's own structure. Unlocking Balm loosens the skin's compact framework, opening it up to subsequent active ingredients and making it more receptive. This allows the Dermavectors from PART II to penetrate even deeper into the skin.

Morning and evening

Moisten your face, neck, and décolleté. Massage a small amount of the balm into damp skin. Then rinse off with warm water.

What is the Smart Barrier System?

TEN TWELVE's SMART BARRIER SYSTEM, borrowed from cell biology, first opens the skin barrier to optimally penetrate the active ingredients and then reseals it. For more effect and less effort!

How does Unlocking Balm loosen the skin barrier?

The skin barrier is opened by a special combination of glycolipids and phospholipids: The lipid chains of these two components deposit in the lipid-containing intercellular spaces and loosen them. This makes the skin barrier more porous, allowing our patented DermaVector® technology in PART II to deliver the active ingredients even deeper into the skin.

What is a micellar balm?

Our balm contains glycolipids, phospholipids, and amino acid-based glutamates, which can aggregate into micelles and effectively trap dirt and makeup particles. This gives the micellar balm an excellent cleansing effect.

Can Unlocking Balm remove makeup?

Yes! The micellar balm removes makeup very effectively. Therefore, there's no need to use an additional makeup remover before cleansing with the balm. Take a generous amount of the balm and gently massage it all over your face, neck, and décolleté. Then rinse off with water and enjoy velvety-soft skin.
